(Dis)Information

Misleading information has many faces: Sometimes it´s a specific result of state-driven propaganda operations. Sometimes it emanates from conspiracy theories. In the future, also texts produced by AI-tools might add to the growing number of fake news. Whatever the type and origin - disinformation undermines trust not only in the media but also in democracy itself. Our projects aim to strengthen confidence by supporting high-quality, in depth reporting. We train journalists how to detect fake news. We encourage them to question all too well-established narratives. And we teach media consumers how to orient in an ever growing flood of information.
