26 kilometers of the Debed River flowing through the north of Armenia passes through Georgia.

With the union of Pambak and Dzoraget, it reaches the Khram river, a tributary of Kur. In Armenia, Debed has serious ecological problems, the causes of which are many: mining, hydroelectric plants, and pollution. The river reaches the neighboring country without being cleaned. There are many causes of pollution in Georgia as well.

In the video from the Georgian side there are some 60 seconds describing lack of information among citizens. It mentions that an initiative called "Green thinking" operating in the Marneuli region carries out awareness campaigns and training for different communities.

Thanks to Keti Gigashvili for participating in the preparation of the material.

Debed is facing a disaster: untreated sewage, hydroelectric power plants, mining wastes that poison water, gardens and human health. It is not clear what the state is planning to do. In the video from the Armenian side the need for sharing the information is also emphasized and it's described from different angles and points of view.
