With their features, interviews and analyses, the journalists and photographers from five participating Central Asian countries, including Afghanistan, reflect upon the role of water in their respective countries from a transnational perspective. Participants crossed national boundaries and learned to view bodies of water, often ascribed with personal, nationalistic meaning, from the perspective of their neighbors.
