Alexenia Dimitrova

I am an award winning freelance journalist, researcher, media expert and trainer from Bulgaria with a strong background in investigative and cross border reporting. I am a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. I have worked with colleagues from Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, UK, USA, etc. to research and produce stories in Bulgaria and the Balkans (Greece, North Macedonia, Romania).I am based in Sofia but I have excellent years long developed network of contacts throughout the country, which helps me finding necessary information and get necessarily permits for research and accomplish stories. Concurrently I am a licensed trainer in investigative journalism since 2003. I have been running Master classes in Investigative Reporting for mid careers in Bulgaria and internationally, and for students in Sofia University and other universities.
