Seizing Synergies meet in Yerevan

Published on Jun 1, 2026

There is nothing quite like getting everyone into the same room. For the first time in 2026, journalists from our four partner newsrooms finally met offline in Yerevan.

We spent a few intense days structuring how these newsrooms can share workflows and co-produce stories across borders. To help sharpen the ideas, two editors, Gian-Paolo Accardo from Voxeurop and Filip Noubel from Global Voices sat down with the teams to review current story pitches, giving practical feedback that pushes journalism to reach a truly regional audience.

At its core, Seizing Synergies is an effort to stop reporting on regional issues in isolation. By pooling their resources, four partner newsrooms from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine are building a durable network of support, proving that when things get tough, independent journalists are far stronger together than they are alone.
