Next Station Ukraine in Hamburg

In July 2023, the journalistic network n-ost, in collaboration with Ströer company, connected Hamburg‘s public space with the reality of Ukraine. The project presented images of Ukrainians sheltering in Kyiv and Kharkiv subways, one of the safest places during Russian attacks, inside Hamburg Rathaus station and Rathaus tunnel. More than 50 images were displayed on commercial billboards, digital screens and video boards with short descriptions of the consequences of the Russian full-scale invasion and statements from the Ukrainian photographers.
