n-ost cinema presents: (13.03.) Double feature of two Ukrainian filmmakers

Inga Pylypchuk's documentary (30 min) "How Far is Close" follows the arrival of her mother, who flees from Kyiv to Berlin in the first days of the war. The film premiered at the Cottbus Film Festival. >Trailer

In her short feature film (15 min) "As it Was", Anastasia Solonevych shows a young woman who goes in the opposite direction after the war begins. She travels from Berlin to her family and friends in Kyiv. The film was shown in the short film competition in Cannes. >Trailer

The two filmmakers will be present and we can talk with them about the film and the situation in Ukraine after the screening.

There won't be an entrance fee but we are collecting contributions for the filmmakers at the event.
