The panel will explore the main challenges facing Ukrainian journalism due to Russia's war against Ukraine and how Ukrainian media have been responding to them since 2014. Sevgil Musaeva (Ukrayinska Pravda) and Mariya Frey (Suspilne), will discuss how the Ukrainian media community maintains professional standards and what efforts it undertakes to counter propaganda and disinformation. How are information and news consumed today? Which stories, topics, and angles do editors prioritise? In what ways can media strengthen social cohesion within Ukraine? And how can they reach those living in the occupied territories and abroad? The panel will be moderated by Vassili Golod (ARD Kyiv).
