n-ost and NewsMaker (Moldova) invite 12 journalists from Armenia, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine to participate in the “EU Reporting Beyond Slogans” project. The programme aims to equip media professionals with specialized skills and resources for in-depth reporting on EU accession consequences, while simultaneously building an international community of journalists and increasing the volume, accuracy, and depth of reporting in the participating countries’ media.
The project will begin with four thematic webinars, organized in June–July 2026 and led by experts in EU policies. These sessions will provide participants with in-depth insights into the accession process.
These webinars will be followed up by a study trip to Poland scheduled for 14-18 September 2026 and designed to help participants excel their knowledge and collect materials and contacts for further reporting. Participants will have a choice between two parallel programs, one dedicated to energy and the other to agriculture, ensuring they can follow the track most relevant to their professional interests.
Following the pitch of a story idea to the project team, each participant will receive a stipend to cover the costs of research and publication preparation. Stories must be published by participants in Armenian, Georgian, German, Moldovan, Polish, and Ukrainian media outlets by the end of November 2026.
