Rita Cruz is an investigative journalist based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has been focusing on developing her data journalism skills, with a particular focus on geodata and map design. Originally from Porto, Portugal, she now lives in Sweden’s second largest city, where she works as a freelance investigative journalist. She was previously an intern reporter for Swedish public service TV (SVT). As a passion project, she is a co-founder of the Gothenburg Media Hub, a non-profit that aims to create a media community in Sweden and the Nordics through promoting collaboration and networking, sharing knowledge, supporting freelance journalists in the region, and building a bridge between the international and Swedish media communities.
