Qian Sun

Qian Sun is an independent journalist based in Berlin. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sports journalism from Beijing Sport University and a master’s degree from the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies programme. She has worked in journalism in Berlin since 2014, taking on a wide range of roles across the media industry—from newsroom reporting, video journalism, documentary production to podcast production, investigative reporting, fact-checking, and in-depth cross-border features. Her work has covered stories across Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia, and she regularly appears as a guest and commentator on television. For nine years, she served as Phoenix TV’s Germany correspondent, primarily covering German and European politics. She has also reported from conflict and war zones, including Armenia, Ukraine, and Israel.
