Peter Yeung is an award-winning freelance journalist based in Paris who covers climate, migration and human rights, often through a critical, solutions-orientated lens. He specialises in non-extractive, on-the-ground reporting about under-covered issues involving and giving a voice to marginalized groups. He has written for The New York Times, the BBC, The Guardian, the Washington Post and National Geographic, among other publications. He is a member of the Clean Energy Wire network, the Society of Environmental Journalists, a previous winner of a Covering Climate Now Award and a former Climate Arena fellow.
