Marina Kelava is a freelance journalist and photographer based in Zagreb, Croatia. She is focused on environmental topics, climate change, development, common goods, nature, migrations, and more. She is one of the founders of one of the most influential Croatian nonprofit media, internet magazine H-Alter.org, where she worked for years as an Executive Editor, Journalist and Photographer. In 2014 Kelava received Velebitska Degenija Award for environmental journalism from Croatian Journalists' Association and in 2016 she received Marko Polo Award for travel writing, also from Croatian Journalists' Association. In 2018 she was an International Journalists' Programme Climate and Energy fellow within German-Central Eastern European Programme. She received Fierce Woman Award for achievements in activism and journalism.
