Hanna Jarzabek is a Spanish-Polish freelance journalist and photojournalist based in Madrid. After completing her Master’s degree in Political Science in Geneva and working as a political analyst for several UN agencies, she decided to pursue photojournalism professionally, bringing her background in politics and international affairs into her visual storytelling practice. Her projects explore themes of discrimination and social challenges in Europe, with a strong focus on gender identity and sexual diversity. She has also investigated and documented the radicalization of youth, the rise of far-right movements in Poland, and the construction of national identities in post-Soviet regions. More recently, she has focused on migratory flows along the EU’s eastern borders, emphasizing a safe and respectful visual approach to individuals in vulnerable situations.
