Georgiana Anghel

Georgiana Anghel is a Romania-based freelance journalist with over a decade of experience in both local and national media. Throughout her career, she also held key leadership roles, including Editorial Coordinator and Editor-in-Chief. In 2024, she transitioned from her position at Jurnal Bihorean to focus fully on independent journalism. Within her first year of freelancing, she secured three grant-funded projects through Journalismfund and S-Info, focusing on critical issues surrounding climate change and energy. She is also a member of the International Press Institute (IPI).
