Since July 2022 Francesco has been working as a project manager for the "Going Environmental" project, where he contributes with his long experience as an editor and reporter from South-East Europe. Based in Sofia (Bulgaria), he’s been long-term correspondent for the Italian think-tank and online media “Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso – Transeuropa” since 2006. He’s also been regularly contributing to numerous international media outlets, like ARTE, Human.nl, RAI, RSI Switzerland, NOS, National Geographic, La Repubblica.
