Egita Proveja is euro|topics' Latvia correspondent. She studied German language and literature and since 2003/2004 she has worked as a researcher in linguistics and translation at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, a project manager at the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Riga and a translator and interpreter for various German media.
