Stefan Elsing

I started working in international development projects in 1989. After a two-years-assignment to the EU-Delegation in Vilnius from 1997 to 1999 I am working as a freelance consultant, based in Kleinmachnow (next to Berlin). I was engaged in numerous projects in the EU-Enlargement process as well as in EU-Eastern Neighbourhood Policy context. Furthermore, I was involved in various projects in the Western Balkans and in Central Asia. Since 2020 I am consultant at the Deutsche Welle / DW Akademie (part-time), supporting planning and implementation of media development projects worldwide. In the same year I started working as a psychological counsellor focussing on people who, whether as journalists, media professionals or media users, are exposed to increasing mental strain.
