Shoira Toirova

Shoira Toirova is a journalist, media expert, and project manager from Tajikistan with over 15 years of experience in communications. In 2015, she earned her PhD with a dissertation on "Characteristics of the Development of Tajik Environmental Journalism in the Context of Water Resources Issues, the Construction of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station, and Emergencies." Throughout her career, she has managed projects in the educational and social spheres in collaboration with government, international, and public organizations. In 2019, she was awarded the "Top 50 People of Tajikistan" award for her contribution to social development. She is currently a member of the National Association of Independent Media of Tajikistan (NANSMIT) and a journalist for Dushanbe TV. Her expertise combines a deep understanding of the region's environmental agenda with extensive experience in the strategic management of social initiatives.
