Mirlan Kadyrov is an investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker focusing on social justice, environmental crises, migration, climate, decolonization, and regional inequalities. In recent years, he has produced impactful reports and documentaries on uranium waste, coal mining, industrial heritage, ecological degradation, and challenging social conditions in local communities. His documentary “Son-Kol: What Will Happen in 50 Years” was screened on the big screen at COP28 in Egypt and was shortlisted in the 2023 competition by the All Broadcast Association.
