Lina Weisener

Lina brings to n-ost a background in communication design and a research focus on visual storytelling in crisis and conflict. Since joining the team in 2024, she has shaped n-ost's voice, developed media partnerships, and built a lean visual system strong enough to hold the full range of the network's activities across digital platforms. Her editorial practice centers on photography and war: how images of conflict are produced, circulated, and whose perspective shapes the visual record. This sensibility informs her communications work, translating the complexity of the stories n-ost covers into a coherent public presence. She studied media art, cultural anthropology, and Eastern European studies across universities in Hamburg, Copenhagen, Tallinn, and Gdańsk, and completed photo editing studies at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin.
