Lina Weisener

Lina joined n-ost's communications team in 2024, bringing interdisciplinary expertise in visual communication, cultural anthropology, and Eastern European studies. With experience spanning graphic design, social media strategy, and museum curation, she offers a unique perspective on cross-cultural storytelling. Currently completing her studies at the University of Hamburg, Lina has expanded her expertise through international programs in Copenhagen, Tallinn, and Gdansk. Lina's work focuses on challenging conventional visual representations, particularly in crisis contexts. Through collaboration with Ukrainian amateur photographers and involvement in exhibitions and publications, she explores how photography can preserve collective memory and a nuanced human experiences while avoiding exploitative narratives. Currently pursuing photo editing at Ostkreuz Schule für Fotografie, she continues developing her skills in responsible visual communication.
