Cristina Coellen

Cristina is a freelance journalist and journalism student currently based in Paris. Originally from Austria, she has worked for a range of media in various countries, among which New Eastern Europe Magazine, Are We Europe or Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. She has also won a Prix Européen du Jeune Reporter 2023 award, a French journalism prize focusing on solutions journalism. Her main areas of expertise are armed conflicts, the intersection of climate change and conflict, as well as the Caucasus and Eastern Europe.
