Freelance journalist
Asyl Osmonalieva is a Kyrgyz journalist. She graduated from Bishkek State University and holds a diploma in Media and Democracy from OSCE Bishkek. From 2016 to 2024, she worked as a Media Expert at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) branch office in Kyrgyzstan, developing media strategies, producing content, and training judicial spokespersons and journalists. Previously, she served as National Coordinator for SCOOP in Kyrgyzstan, supporting over 20 investigative journalism projects uncovering corruption schemes. Asyl has contributed to IWPR, AKIpress, and Kabar.kg. She has completed international internships in Poland, Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Nepal, focusing on investigative journalism, conflict-sensitive reporting, and financial secrecy. Currently, Asyl is a lecturer at Bishkek Humanitarian University.
