n-ost is looking for a Network Manager

This key role is ideal for a dynamic person who understands that a network is more than the sum of its parts, creates synergies between projects, and helps increase the impact of our work. The place of work is Berlin.

YOUR TASKS

  • Drive and shape our network communication, making connections matter.
  • Activate our community and spark engagement
  • Design, fundraise for, and co-run events — from research trips to hub meetups and the n-ost Media Conference.
  • Be the connector: link people, projects, and ideas across our network.
  • Lead key projects and initiatives, ensuring impact and collaboration.
  • Keep our community thriving by coordinating membership processes smoothly.


YOUR IDEAL PROFILE

  • Hands-on experience in community building, growth, and engagement.
  • Journalistic background and/or experience in media projects.
  • Proven skills in project and event management.
  • Strong interest in and understanding of European media and public debates.
  • Excellent English; additional European languages (e.g., German) are a plus.
  • Confident communicator with strong writing skills.
  • Intercultural awareness and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and thrive in an international team.
