The press review eurotopics follows key debates in the European media and translates the most relevant comments into five languages (English, German, French, Russian, Turkish). It’s an initiative of Germany's Federal Agency for Civic Education produced by the Berlin-based journalist network n-ost.
We’re a dedicated team of debate junkies and, for the project eurotopics.net, we’re looking for a
Social Media Editor (English channels)
who is:
very active on social media (Instagram, Bluesky, Whatsapp)
qualified to be a social media editor (academic studies, job experience)
interested in all kinds of political, economic and social topics across Europe
experienced with relevant photo, video and audio software, and
has native-level English skills (good command of German is an asset).
Does this sound like you? Great! Here are some of the things you’ll do while you're with us:
share our topics on social media by drafting engaging posts
produce informative and moving sharepics
manage our community on the networks and get in touch with influencers
analyse user behaviour
You’ll work part-time from Monday to Friday (approx. 2.5 hours per day, around noon) from anywhere in Europe. You should be prepared to start by 1 July 2025.
Please send your CV and cover letter to application@n-ost.org (as one pdf) by 1 June 2025. If you have any questions please contact Judith Fiebelkorn at the address above.
