Conference in Samarkand: Call for Participation

From 18–23 November 2024, we will be hosting a five-day conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to present our journalists’ findings and help equip them for further groundbreaking work.

We are looking for journalists from Central Asia who are interested in data journalism and in writing about the impact of international economic cooperation - for example, you might have a story related to Chinese investments in Central Asia, or trade between Russia and Uzbekistan or Tajikistan.

Costs for travel and accommodation will be covered by the organisers. We expect active involvement and participation from the journalists we invite to join.
