Isabelle Daniel

jourmalist, Germany

I am an editor at NZZ Regionalmedien. Previously, I worked in academia (Technical University Berlin) and as a freelance journalist with a focus on the European Union, Jewish life and the politics of memory. In 2012 and 2013, I worked as an online news editor for n-tv.de (Berlin). I received my M.A. in Political Science and History from Heidelberg University. I was also a guest student at Johns Hopkins University, Charles University Prague and Tel Aviv University.
I enjoy crossing borders not only physically but also between journalism, academia and politics. I was an initiator and organisor of several events such as a large conference on the implementation of the European External Action Service in 2012 and a panel discussions event on the responsibilites of development policy in 2015. Favorite journalistic genre: the portrait.
